What to wear during a business trip

So this week I've been staying with an agency in Birmingham as part of my internship.
I've already met these guys a few times and I really like what they're doing and how creative they are.
Having this possibility for joining them and working with them on their projects has been amazing.
I couldn't be more thankful for this experience.
As I'm always planning my outfits for work days or especially for business trips, I had so much fun getting these three outfits together which I want to show you in this blog post today.
I usually keep it simple and classy but every time I try to add something a little bit special to it.
I really hope you enjoy reading this and I wish you a very nice day.

PS: Read until the end and you will find two very nice restaurant tips for Birmingham ;) :*

The portions are perfect and even if you choose a starter, main course and a desert you won't feel stuffed in the end. My highlight there have been the sweet potatoe fries and the red wine chorizzo.

#2: The second one is called Thai Edge and I went there by coincidence. I really enjoied my meal and it was very light. Very nice staff, lovely food and I loved the restaurant's design :). As a starter we had some spring rolls, grilled chicken and a couple of other things. As a main course we had beef with beens and chilli, chicken with nudles and sesame and some veggies.

It's snack time! (DIY kale chips)

Yesterday I went quickly into the Mark's and Spencer store as I needed something right after work.
I passed by the salad and vegetable aisle and I spotted packages of kale.
During the last weeks I've heard so much about kale and I know that it is very, very healthy. Unfortunately I don't really like it in a salad but I've seen that a lot of people use kale as an alternative to potatoe chips. So I decided to give it a try and started my little expermiment last night.

What you need: - Olive Oil
                          - Vinegar
                          - Sea salt

I put a certain amount of kale into a bowl, add 3 table spoons of Olive Oil, a little bit of vinegar and sea salt and mix it with a spoon.

Afterwads you take a baking tin and place the kale on it. On my pictures you can see that I didn't have baking paper at home, but if you wash the tin very well afterwards, it shouldn't be a problem.

Then you place the tin into your oven which you've preheated on 170 degrees and leave it in there for 10 minutes. After ten minutes you should have a look on your chips and their colour.
It's absolutely normal that they're a bit brown but they shouldn't be black.

When you think they look good, take them out of the oven and they're ready to be consumed.

It's such an easy recipe and I love it. It tastes so good and is a perfect healthy snack. You can use different herbs to create many different sorts of kale chips.

My ingredients!

Voilà the preroasted kale

H&M Spring 2014 inspiration for my wardrobe

Cupcakes and Cashmere ♥

Hello ladies,

Today's blog post is about one of the books I've read during the last month. I got it by coincidence as it was recommended by amazon when I ordered Lauren Conrad's Style and Beauty book.
I'm talking about "Cupcakes and Cashmere" by Emily Schuman. To be honest, I wasn't expecting a lot I just thought I would give it a try.
Now you may already guess that I literally loved it!
It's not a huge book at all but you can find all of the details you need to be inspired by that lovely woman.
Her way of writing is very nice and I just loved reading it. It's split in the four seasons and I read one chapter every day. She gives you tips in Beauty, Fashion, Food and Lifestyle, which covers all of the subjects I'm interested in. The funny thing is that I hadn't known her blog before I started reading the book so I made this fascinating discovery as well and I love her cupcakes recipe. She's so creative and I love creative people so much. They give me a lot and that's one of the reasons why I started writing this blog. I wanted to give people something to get inspired or just something beautiful to make them smile. Creativity is something wonderful and I love to play with is. Not only with fashion and beauty but also with food.
If you really want to read an inspiring book, which makes you happy at the same time, then I really recommend you buying this one. Give it a look and I know you'll love it.
A little detail which I also loved was the fact of showing beauty products for each season. High-end and drugstore. These details made me adoring it that much.

I wish you a wonderful day or night wherever you are!

Much love! xoxo

Living inspiration ♥

Hello everyone :),

Happy Monday to you even if you usually don't wish someone a happy monday as it's the beginning of the week but I do it anyway ;).
Today I want to share with you a quite personal story but also some beautiful things.
I don't know if you've already made this experience or if you're still waiting for it to come.
8 months ago I met this guy by coincidence and I think it was destiny that we met. It was his and his brother's birthday party and I fell in love with him right away. I don't know what it was (probably his amazing blue eyes ;)) but I knew that it was true. Some months before that day I had made some very sad and bad experiences and I don't wish those kind of experiences to anyone. I thought that I would never ever be able to trust a guy and be able to give him all I have. My heart, my thoughts, my joy and my worries. It took myself some time to open myself but this guy I met at his birthday party did everything you can imagine that made it possible for myself to do everything I was afraid of. I gave him everything and still today he deserves it as much as the first day I dared doing it. This guy is in my eyes the Love of my life and in some eyes I must sound stupid but I don't care about that! I know what i feel and I know what he has done for me until today and I think that everything we go through, whether good times or bad times, we will stick together and love each other every day!
Last fall we've decided to move together because the both of us are going to start university this year.
We've already found an appartement and we're super happy and super excited to start this adventure together. I don't doubt that step a single minute and I'm sure we'll be fine.
Some of you may ask yourself why I'm writing these things for a blogpost in which I wanted to show you my "living" inspiration for our appartement. Well usually there's a story behind everything and this one, I wanted to share with you.

I hope you like my favorite pictures of today and I wish you a nice day or night wherever you are!

Much love xoxo

PS: I love you honey and happy anniversary! ♥

My favorite christmas present ♥

Good morning (here in Europe :)),

As a following post I wanted to share with you my favorite christmas present. I'm not a huge fan of sharing ALL my presents with you guys. It's not a matter of privacy I just think it would look like "hey look at me I'm so much better than you because my presents were more expensive or bigger or whatever". I hope you understand that but I decided that I'm going to show you at least one. And here it is: My favorite christmas present of 2013 is......

...The Clarisonic "mia2"- Facial Sonic Cleansing

To be honest, I already knew that I would get it before christmas because my mum had bought her clarisonic 3 months before and she was so happy about it, that I just had to get this for christmas ;).
My skin is really, really fragile and I have to pay a lot of attention on what I put on my skin. So the clarisonic works perfectly for myself. I also got the brush for fragile and dry skin with my clarisonic because the usual one includes a brush "only" for sensitiv skin.
Well I've been using it for 3 weeks now and my skin is feeling so well. I don't have that feeling of uneven skin anymore. My face is so soft and looks fresh and healthy.
I know that this cleansing method has been known around the world for about 5 years or even longer now, but if you don't have it yet, please give it a look and think about it, because it is truly amazing!!

You can really feel and see the difference and even my boyfriend uses it from time to time ;).

It has 2 speeds, 2 year warranty and the package includes a travel case which is really practical. If you want to use it on your body too, then there is a bigger one availabe in the stores. A little "plus" for all of you ladies, you can get it in different colours. I've spotted it in pink 2 weeks ago and it looked great.

I hope you liked this post and I wish you a really nice day or night wherever you are :)!

Much love xoxo

Delicious Salmon-Potato rolls ♥

Hello my dearest! :)

Yesterday my mum and I have made some very delicious salmon-potato rolls for lunch. It's been a long time that I had it for the last time and I must have forgotten how amazing they are haha.
I just wanted to share this yummy recipe with you and hope you try it and of course like it :).

Much love xoxo

Lila

What you need:

First step: Pay attention that the mashed potatoes are still cold from the fridge. Then add two eggs and a little bit less than half a parmesan cheese into the bowl. Season it with salt, pepper and some nutmeg. (Please do not to much season it, as the mashed potatoes are still seasoned.

Second step: Add the fine breadcrumbs and some flour and knead it all gently with your fingers.
When the mixture has a good consistance (you want to flatten it) take it out of the bowl and on your floured work surface.

Third step: Now flatten it also very gently with your rolling pin. When this step is also done, the salmon is going to have his appearance ;). Take the slices and add them on the flattened dough. Also add some more of the parmesan cheese. (Now it looks like a weird salmon cheese pizza ;) )

Fourth step: Now roll it to a big "sausage". If the dough's still too wet there can be some problems but just mend the holes with the dough and add some flour. When this step's done you can take a knife and cut it in sclices which should have a width of 3 cm. (I'm sorry if you don't calculate with cm, m, etc.)
Now you can put them into a pan and cook them until they have a nice, crispy looking, goldbrown colour.

Tip: You can have this lunch with red cabbage and crème fraîche like I did. This tastes amazing!

Voila that would be my recipe and I really hope you liked it!

This is an amount for 4-5 people :)
the "raw" "snails" before cooking :)

My sunday outfit

Hello everyone :),

I really hope you had or you're still having an amazing sunday. My boyfriend and I went to some friends who live quite far away from us and we had an amazing time with amazing food. Today I wanted to share my outfit of the day with you and I hope you like it. I'm sorry for two things ;). First point is my hair haha I have quite a big hairline but my hairdresser is going to correct that during the week which is coming :). Second point would be my look on the picture. I was so blended by the sun that sometimes I look a little bit angry or just weird. I was definitely not angry haha.

I hug you guys!

Much love xoxo

Miss Wolford and Baby NYX ♥

Hello my lovely ladies out there,

Today I went shopping with my mum, my sister and my little baby brother. As I still had some credits left for one of my favorite stores, (which is by the way the only store that sells NYX cosmetics) I got myself the NYX "03 Caviar & Bubbles", The Runway Collection, Eyeshadow palette. I'm super excited to try out these beautiful coulours and I'm so, so happy that I bought it. The palette includes 10 very natural and a little bit shimmery colours. If you want to I can make a little review on the eyeshadows in another blogpost which will be in the future of course.

One more little present for myself were the "Wolford Roxette tights" which I got in the sale and I think they're super sexy, beautiful and just amaaaazing :). They have one, longer black strip which ends on your thigh. On the black strip they've put some silver studs which highlight the tights perfectly.

I'm really looking forward to wearing them and of course you'll get a picture of it as soon as I'm wearing my new friends.

That's it for today I hope you enjoyed this little blogpost and I wish you a very nice evening or day, wherever you are at the moment.

Much love

xoxo

About me

Hello everyone :)

I'm a 21 year old student who loves all about beauty, fashion and special moments in life.
When I was about 13 I was sure that one day I'd become a famous journalist ;). During the time I've changed a litte bit my opinion but I still want to study communications which is not completely different than journalism :). But even if I won't study journalism I still love to share my opinion with other people even if I don't know them.
Another passion of myself is travelling. When I was 16 years old I spent one year in France to perfectionate my french and it was definitely one of the best years in my life! Now next week I will go to England for 6 months. I'm going to do an internship over there and I'm very excited. I think that one reason for my excitement is at one hand the job which I'm really looking forward to and on the other hand I'm really happy to meet another "culture" and other styles and make-up products ;).
I would love to take you on this journey with me and if you like this 6 months with me I'd be so happy if you would still continue reading my posts.
I hope that I could describe myself a little bit for you :)

So much love to everyone!!
